we believe in

craftsmanship

At Mano Mano, our artisans are the heart of our work. Many learned their craft from mothers and grandmothers, passing down skills through generations. In times of fast fashion, we choose to sell a story—one of care, heritage, and hands at work—and to know that the money goes where it truly belongs. We believe that something made by hand, with love, carries a soul no industrial product can match.

The fabrics

Our friend Mariana, the artist behind Casa Almacén, has an extraordinary, spiritual sense of color—intuitive and emotional. Together with her team, she creates hand-painted shades gathered from every corner of the world, bringing each fabric to life. Casa Almacén is one of the very last places in Argentina where fabrics are still made with a handmade touch—a rare legacy, in a time when so many great houses have vanished.

The seamstress

Our seamstresses carry the quiet wisdom of generations—skills passed down from mothers and grandmothers. Around Buenos Aires, they work from their own ateliers, each with her own story. We love knowing that the money goes straight into their hands. With a wink to Evita—who once placed sewing machines into women’s hands—we believe craft brings not only beauty, but dignity, independence, and a sense of pride. It’s work that uplifts, offering not just income, but growth in confidence and social status.

The embroiderers

There’s something quietly powerful about a needle and thread. The women who do our embroidery work with such patience and care—each stitch holding a part of their story. I love the idea that with just a needle, some thread, and a skill, they can create something truly beautiful. We believe that when something is made by hand—with time, love, and intention—it carries a resonance no machine could ever match. For the best results, we use fine French thread in all our embroideries.
